The Joe White Tennis Center in Hanes Park features 14 public clay courts and 6 public hard tennis courts located in the heart of Winston-Salem, NC. This City-owned facility has been managed by Serve First Racquet Sports since the spring of 2022. Serve First owners Caroline Downs and Tiffany Noel offer lessons, clinics, camps, host USTA tournaments and league matches. Their adult cardio clinics on Saturday mornings are particularly popular!
Here are a few things offered by Serve First at Hanes Park this December:
Juniors
Serve First Junior Circuit, Saturday, Dec. 3 from 1pm-5pm. A USTA Junior Circuit is an event that uses a non-elimination, round-robin draw format for players of all ages. This setting allows players to gain match experiences and see individual. USTA Junior Circuits do not count towards earning national ranking points. This event is for orange/green ball players who are beginning to play matches. To register, click the button below.
Serve First Junior Level 7 Tournament will be Sunday, December 4 from 9am-3pm. Level 7 tournaments are for juniors who have not yet had a tournament experience. These one-day events typically take a few hours and expose players to multiple rounds of short sets against other players in their division. It’s a great way to see what a tournament is like and make new friends! To register, use the button below.
Adults
Think you don’t have time for tennis this busy holiday season? You’re wrong! Get your hit in with a Fast Four! The Adult Fast 4 will be Saturday, December 10 from 10am-2pm. Fast Four adult tournaments allow players the chance to play multiple matches in a half-day format. Register with your favorite elf or reindeer sidekick, or we can match you up! Why is a junior camp listed under “Adults?” Because we know the parental units need a break after Santa has come and gone! We have set up our Ho-Ho Holiday Camp from December 26-28. Ages 5-8 (red/orange ball) will be from 1-2pm ($50).Ages 10 and up (green/yellow ball) will be from 1-3pm ($85). Let Coach Tiffany run some of the holiday sugar out of them! Email Tiffany Noel to ensure you get at least a two-hour break in your holiday week!
